In a post entitled “The Benefits of the SPSM Certification in Bullet Points,” I recently listed several benefits of the SPSM Certification for both those who have earned it as well as their employers.
To recap just a few of those, the benefits to the procurement professional include higher pay, more respect, being qualified for more strategic work, and more. And the many benefits to the employers included higher cost savings, more credibility with management and internal customers, greater team unity, and more.
But we recently added yet another reason why it’s awesome to have – or be working towards – your SPSM Certification: Access to the NLPA Library.
The NLPA Library is a collection of some phenomenal practical and educational resources, which include:
- Templates & Documents: Save an incredible amount of time in your work by not having to recreate the wheel when you need a tool to support your process. These tools include a cost savings reporting template, an internal customer service survey template, an RFP template, and many more. We regularly add new templates, too!
- Webinar Slides & Replays: We started doing webinars on an almost-monthly basis in 2011. We have recorded most of those. We also have downloadable slide decks for most of them. These webinars cover a wide variety of procurement topics, ranging from supplier risk mitigation to procurement technology to negotiation and more!
- Interview Transcripts: We have interviewed many procurement experts. And we’ve transcribed those interviews to provide you with their expert guidance on some of the most burning procurement topics.
And, again, access to all of these wonderful procurement resources in the NLPA Library are available at no additional charge to all SPSM’s in good standing as well as to those enrolled in the SPSM Certification Program. If you’ve been considering earning a procurement certification, now may be the time to finally start working towards your SPSM!
