Today, I’ll share a link to a new procurement case study involving Island Hotel Company (formerly Kerzner International).
When the global economic recession of 2008 hit, Island Hotel Company, like many other companies, found itself motivated to make changes to sustain its financial performance. Seeing the procurement function as a source of great opportunity, Island Hotel Company focused efforts on procurement’s cost minimization capabilities as revenue growth became more of a challenge. Looking back all these years later, the procurement reengineering effort has paid great dividends for the iconic resort company and has proven to be the right move.
