“The hardest part of any journey is taking that first step” – Unknown
The value of getting a procurement certification should be obvious.
You’d earn more money. Qualify for better jobs. Get more respect from management, internal customers, suppliers, and peers.
Yet a subset of procurement professionals just can’t push themselves to earn their certification.
Even though a procurement certification costs a mere fraction of what a master’s degree costs. Even though it can be done in mere months or less. Even though it may help them perform better in the workplace, thus saving time, reducing stress, and enhancing job security.
It’s because that first step seems hard.
But getting started isn’t hard.
And the Next Level Purchasing Association (NLPA) makes that first step much easier.
There are three steps in earning your SPSM Certification:
- Complete the six online courses of the Senior Professional in Supply Management Certification Program
- Pass the SPSM Exam
- Submit a certification application
Let’s break Step 1 down even further.
Those six online courses are each comprised of eight lessons. Each lesson takes approximately 30-60 minutes to complete.
One of the benefits of a free Basic Membership in the NLPA is that you get the first lesson of the first course for free!
So, in the next 30 or so minutes, you could complete an online lesson that would count towards earning your SPSM Certification. Without paying a dime.
We think you’ll see that there’s nothing to be scared of. And you’ll want to enroll in the full version of that full course, “Mastering Purchasing Fundamentals.” And once you’re done with that, you’ll be excited to complete the next five courses and proceed through the process until, before you know it, you’ll have earned your SPSM Certification!
So, don’t be a scaredy cat. Sign up for your free Basic Membership and take that first lesson free.
You’ll see how easy that first step was after all. And you’ll be excited to continue on the rest of that journey.
