Next Level Purchasing is proud to announce that July 1, 2009 marks the fifth year anniversary of the SPSM Certification and brings with it the release of the SPSM2 Certification. The SPSM2, the highest level certification that a purchasing and supply management professional can earn, is not a replacement for the original SPSM® Certification, but simply a higher level of achievement. Similar to a master's degree being a higher level compared to a bachelor's degree, the SPSM2 will be an indication of continued dedication to being the best in the supply management field.
As an SPSM, you are part of an elite group of purchasing professionals who are eligible to elevate their career to even higher levels by earning the SPSM2 Certification. The SPSM2 Certification builds on the skills and knowledge that you have already acquired and adds training on processes that are becoming more significant in the purchasing field- international procurement, advanced negotiation, and managerial skills. Earning your SPSM2 Certification is a three-step process, similar to how you have earned your original SPSM®
Certification.
Here are the three steps
STEP 1: Complete the following online courses:
STEP 2: Pass the 60-question SPSM2 Exam
STEP 3: Submit the SPSM2 Certification Application
Achieving your SPSM2 also serves to recertify you as an SPSM for a 4-year period, even if your original SPSM® Certification expires earlier. Your original SPSM®
Certification will become linked to your SPSM2 Certification. Recertifying for the SPSM2 automatically recertifies you for the SPSM and both will have the same expiration date.
If you've taken a class that is a part of the SPSM2 Program, you are eligible to use the fee(s) you've paid as a credit towards enrolling in the SPSM2 Program. By upgrading, you'll get all of the benefits and content of the SPSM2 Program, including access to all four courses for one year, the exam fee, and the application fee.
As an additional bonus, if you upgrade before July 31, 2009, you can take an additional $20 discount off of the cost of the SPSM2 Program. To enroll in the SPSM2 Program, choose one of the options below:
- Enroll online: Click here to login to your account. Under the Course Menu click on "Enroll Now" next to SPSM2 Program. During checkout enter the Coupon Code: SPSM2 to receive your additional $20 discount, if you enroll prior to July 31, 2009.
- Complete the SPSM2 Program Enrollment form. Follow the instructions on the form to send your enrollment.
