"Problem: implement a "cost down" project at a small, unorganized company and professionalize the procurement process.

Action: After a quick scan we arranged clear definition of the project and reported the potential to the customer to integrally reduce spillage.. to locate savings. A project was formed to fix the scope and predict potential added value.

When started the first blockade was a complete lack of data. The director was the only one receiving email (in 2007!). A daily backup of the computer system was stopped few years ago by various reasons. So first advice to the project sponsor was to buy a new ERP system.

Then it occurred that 5 years ago a financial employee started a selection procedure but never reached an acceptable level of specification.. We did it in two weeks, organized financing and got round some dirty tricks in the contract of current supplier. On top of that we contracted a fixed price per head and negotiated a new hardware supporting the demand of a new Microsoft ERP system. The ROI was 6 months!

During the project of installation and training we managed to clean the data and compose information to really connect the sources, define commodities and price base. By cleaning out articles, customers and suppliers the focus is now on By screening the supply chain and internal needs we found ways to change waste into a profit.

To merge 4 sister-companies into one was one step too far for the customer.. Recently the customer has moved to a quadruple size of building to keep up with their growth. The director now communicating with a professional tool is driving a BMW 5 series…

Result: a customer able to compete professionally in their business chain.. who is happy with the result and recognizes added value of purchasing professionals."
