"Three years ago when I realized that supply chain is where I really want to be, I told myself that I would do whatever it takes to be great at it. Enrolling in the Senior Professional in Supply Management^® Program is one big step towards that goal. It is true when they say that "winging it" could at times bring satisfactory result but it certainly would never deliver excellent output. Having undergone the SPSM training has made me better equipped in performing my daily challenging tasks in many facets of procurement function. Successfully completing the program takes devotion and careful planning of one's time. I spent at least three hours a day reading before and after office hours; I listened to audio lessons in the car and during break time. "The biggest thing for me is I spent every spare minute studying the information and I took REALLY good notes. Even if the information is in the lesson I find that I can more easily recall what I have written down- that's the next best thing to working knowledge.

I have 15 years experience in the procurement industry, international and domestic (US). My last position was as a Purchasing Manager for the largest construction project in North American history- and I still learned quite a bit in these courses!

I have been out of work since my last project ended a year ago. I would think that with my knowledge, background, and references that I could land a great job, but I haven't had any luck. My last two interviews were successful... they liked me, my references, my "fit" in their organization, and I went to final interviews for both. I lost out on both jobs because I didn't have CERTIFICATION!! After the second one I decided to just buckle down and get my certification. I decided on SPSM because it is internationally recognized, and most large companies have begun to institute Global Sourcing programs. It will give me the additional edge that I need. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The material was easy to assimilate and the more I learned the more eager I became to learn and improve. Depending on my previous experience on the topics, I managed to complete and revise the topics 3-5 times prior to taking the final exam.
